少し遅くなりましたが、やまねこムラ訪問記です。
12月の2週目に、ツジムラ村長さんのお宅にお伺いしました。
岩手のとある駅まで、村長さん自らのお出迎え。
嬉しい限り。
駅から、ジープに乗せていただいて約30分。
私とは、数年ぶりの再会でした。
すっかりヒゲもいたについて、立派なお百姓さんぶりです。

素晴らしいところでした。
古い農家を買い取り、改造したというお宅。
少し小高い丘の上、そこからの眺めも素晴らしい。
ふーん、こんな気持ちのいいところで暮らしているんだ。
本気で羨ましくなりました。
奥さんがまた素敵。
この土地にすっかりなじんで、こんな言い方は失礼ですが、
ものすごく、カワイイ。
思わず、一緒にいった自分のカミさんを振り返ってしまいました。
その奥さんが作ってくださった「芋の子汁」と新米のおにぎり。
私はあまりの美味しさに、思わず「お代わりお願いします」
ちと、ずうずうしい。
その後、お宅の周辺を案内してもらい、散歩。
いろんな作物を家の周りの畑で作っています。
田んぼは、少し離れた場所にあります。
これを、すべてお一人で耕している。
でも、こんな面白い作業はないですよ。
自分が作ろうとしたものが、きちんとこちらの苦労に応えてくれる。
それはまさに、自然と人間との共同作業です。
広い土間の薪ストーブに暖まりながら、そんな話をしてくれました。
今頃もいいけど、新緑のころが私は一番好きですね。
一斉に芽を吹く若葉たち、さあ、これから働くぞ、
という意欲が湧いてくるんですね。
そのころに、またぜひ来てください。
そういうツジムラ村長さんの顔は、とても幸せそうでした。
もちろん苦労も多いでしょうが、そんなことは少しも言いません。
ほんとうに楽しそうに話してくれるのです。
心もからだも洗われたような、数時間でした。
村長さん、ほんとうにありがとうございました。
