岩国市長の井原勝介さんから、以下のメールをいただきました。
今、岩国は大変なことになっています！
まず言いたいのは、私たちの税金を、そんな「兵糧攻め」のような
やり方に使ってほしくない、ということ。
近く、「マガジン９条」でも、岩国になにがおこっているのかを、
井原さんへのインタビューを通して、紹介する予定です。
米軍再編に伴う、横田、厚木、名護の問題。
これらは、９条ともとても関係が深い問題です。
特定の地域の問題ではなく、私たちのこととしてとらえていかなくては。。。

岩国からのアピール
岩国市が米軍再編を容認しないことを理由に、建設中の市役所新庁舎に対する国の補助金約35億円が突然カットされ、小さなまちは今窮地に陥っています。市民の不安も高まり、このままでは国の兵糧攻めで落城しそうです。
言う通りにならないからといって、市民、国民に対してこんな仕打ちをしていいのでしょうか。貴重な税金の使い方として適切なのでしょうか。到底納得できません。
こうした国のやり方に抗議し岩国の心意気を示そうと、市民有志が立ち上がり自主的な募金活動が行われており、これまでに寄せられた寄附総額は、2,400万円余りとなっています。でも、率直に言ってまだまだ不足しています。
これは、もはや岩国だけでなくどこでも起こりうる問題です。全国の皆さんも一緒に考えてください。そして「民主主義」と「地方自治」を守るために、どうか私に力を貸して下さい。
