普段、欧州のナショナルチームの試合を見る機会がないので、ついつい過去とつなぎ合わせて考えてしまう（そしてよく外れる）のですが、２００４年欧州選手権にダークホースで優勝したギリシャとなんとなく重なる（あくまでイメージ）。そのギリシャは、昨日はいいところなく、韓国に敗れましたが。
それにしてもワールドカップは楽しい。むかしは外国の選手を憧れの目で見ている大会でしたが、いまは出場国の一員。世界のなかの日本。アメリカとか、中国とか、特定の国と比較するのではなく、世界の１プレーヤーとしての日本の実力がどこにあるか。それを測るいい機会。こうした見方は外交にも生かしたいところです。
それにしても、ゴールを入れたときのスロベニア選手の阿波踊り（？）、早く見たいなあ。
